Honeysuckle Lake Cottages is a unique accommodation located in west central Alberta. Our western heritage log cottages are situated alongside a most pristine lake - a bird watchers and wildlife watchers paradise.
Our rural location offers a serene, peaceful, and relaxing country vacation. Our guests enjoy this delightful "home away from home" all year round.
There are six hand-scribed log cottages bordering the Honeysuckle Lake. Each cottage includes two bedrooms that offer accommodation for four people and a bathroom that includes a clothes washing machine for our guests convenience. Our modern cottage kitchen is complete with a full gas cookstove, full refridgerator, and microwave. All cookware and dishes are provided along with all other amenities and comforts of home.
Our comfortable living/dining room has a drolet woodstove that radiates a cozy warmth for everyone to enjoy.
Harry and Deb Tensen thoughtfully developed this holiday destination with our guests privacy in mind. Pine, spruce, birch, tamarack, and lilac adorn the grounds of the Honeysuckle Lake Cottages.
Wild honeysuckle, white and yellow water lilies, and Indian paintbrush display numerous shades of red, pink, yellow, and white in mid-summer. This holiday destination offers you a quiet and secluded holiday, 2.4 km from the nearest highway, where you can leave the hectic and stressful lifestyle behind.
Enjoy a quiet walk along the lake shore and watch the loons, ducks, geese, pelicans, muskrats, and beaver play. If mountain bikes are your forte, there is a good road system to enjoy. Cross-country skiing, skating, along with canoeing, even kayaking are enjoyed here.
We are 15 minutes south-east of Rocky Mountain House, 90 minutes from both Calgary and Edmonton, and 45 minutes west of Red Deer on paved highways - an ideal holiday location.
We welcome you to come and experience the early morning sun as it radiates it's warmth and gloriously illuminates the majestic Rocky Mountains creating a picturesque view for you from your beautiful log cottage here at Honeysuckle Lake Cottages.
